Elusive Objects Six Week Drawing Course
From 17/9/25
7:30-9pm
Artist Lily Buchanan will lead you through making drawings from observing wonderful still lifes from an array of objects. From seaweed, adderstones, candles, musical instruments, apples, mushrooms, cakes, pillows to name a few, in front of the beautiful windows looking out to sea. Practice and strengthen your drawing skills in a relaxed environment, working in a variety of materials as the course progresses. Little Swift will be curating wine pairings for each of the evenings. The full course is £80 for all six lessons or £16 for drop in (this does not include drinks).

Oktoberfest Margate

Yes, it’s time for us to usher in Oktoberfest with a rotating selection of 10 cracking beers from Bavaria and beyond. As part of our Oktoberfest celebrations we will be hosting one of our famous sausage sizzles. Steve is back slinging the bratwurst outside for our Bavarian Sausage Sizzle! From 12 noon til late for a banging brattie in a bun. Don your finest german attire, drink from Maz glasses and usher in the Autumn with some of the finest seasonal lagers from Bavaria and beyond.

Learn how to tell a shiraz from a merlot and a Chablis from a Sancerre with this one day beginner level introduction to wine. Together we’ll use our senses to explore the main types and styles of wine, and if the weather permits, we’ll step outside to learn in the inspiring setting of the outdoors in Margate. This course is perfect for anyone who wants to start learning about wine, either for personal interest or for those embarking on a career in wine or hospitality. No prior knowledge is required. Wine School is Upstairs at Little Swift. Price includes tea, coffee and a light lunch.

Cheese Lovers Sundays: On The Slopes

The cows are coming down the Alpine slopes and with them their creamy and fat rich milk to produce wonderful seasonal cheeses. In celebration of great seasonal cheese we welcome Andrew of Mons, esteemed French affineurs to help Charlotte wheel out the cheese trolley for the first of our cheese lovers Sundays. We will hear the story of four cheeses, process, aging and what makes them so unique. Each one will be paired with a cheeky glass of something wonderful by Charlotte.
Sittings 1-3 and 3-5 £15 per head for a plate of cheese and 4 cheeky glasses

Learn how to tell a riesling from a Chenin and a Auslese from a Trockenbeerenauslese, with this four day course in winemaking, and wine appreciation. Together we’ll use our senses to explore the main types and styles of wine, and if the weather permits, we’ll step outside to learn in the inspiring setting of the outdoors in Margate. This course is perfect for anyone who wants is working with wine already, has completed their Level One WSET certificate, or has some good experience in drinking wine from across the globe. It is a great baseline from which to launch a career in wine or deeper investigation into wine appreciation with friends and loved ones. Four full days from 9.30-5.30pm and in an excellent course.
